In order to become a successful Home Inspector, the first step is to understand any state requirements.
Delaware Home Inspector Requirements
Apply for Licensed Home Inspector by Examination application when all of the following apply:
- You do not hold current licensure/certification as a Home Inspector in any jurisdiction (state, U.S. territory or District of Columbia). If you hold a current licensure/certification in another jurisdiction, you may apply by endorsement.
- You have registered as a Delaware Home Inspector Trainee.
- You have completed 75 supervised home inspections.
- You have completed the required 140 hours of classroom or online training approved by American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI),
- You have passed the National Home Inspector Examination® from the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors.
