Begin Your Course with Confidence Anytime – With our flexible training schedule, you can start your course during any module week that suits you. Our module weeks commence every Monday and continue on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. You have the convenience to choose the module that best fits your schedule. For example, if you commence on Module 6 during an 11-week session, you will complete it smoothly and finish it in Module 5 of the following session. Our flexible schedule allows you to take control of your learning process, and you can pace yourself and complete the course at a comfortable speed without compromising on the quality of learning you will receive.
The national Institute of Home inspections NJ Home Inspector Licensing Course provides all of the education requirements need for NJ Home Inspection Licensing. The course includes 140 hours of live classes and 40 hours of field mentoring. NIHI also adds an 11th week which is dedicated to report writing and business building along with marketing home inspection services. The NIHI NJ Home inspector Licensing Course is approved by the NJ Home Inspector Advisory Committee and by InterNACHI, the worlds largest home inspector association.

Answers To Our Most Frequently Asked Enrollment Questions
The NIHI Live Virtual Classroom is a live course delivered by Zoom. The NJ Department of Education and the HIAC adopted this method of course delivery due to Covid-19 restrictions. It is by far, our most popular course delivery method. We also record each individual session and email them out for home study.
NIHI offers a robust online education program but it is not compliant for NJ licensing.
If you select one of the tuition scenarios listed: Full Pay, 4 Pament, or Weekly Payment, you will be adding it to a store shopping cart. You can add payment information and pay there. Subsequent payments for payment plans, will be invoiced from our office.
InterNACH, while the largest and in many opinions the best Home Inspector Association, does not provide NJ compliant education.
You will be emailed an enrollment agreement for esignature. Once the agreement is signed you will receive a .pdf copy of the agreement and enrollment is complete. Within 24hrs. you will receive a Welcome Email that contains further instructions.
The NIHI Home inspection training course only contains the 140hrs and 40hrs that pertain to home inspection licensing. Termites and radon classes are offered through the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. Each discipline has different requirements.

Both students must must remain enrolled and attend classes for a minimum of 3 weeks. Failure to do this will result in the remaining student being billed $500.00 to receive a certificate of completion.
After 2 weeks of enrollment, the maximum refund is 50% of tuition.

Continuing Admissions (Virtual Classes Only)
Continuing (Rolling) admissions is a policy used by many colleges for years to admit students to their programs. Under rolling admission, candidates are invited to join a course at any time within the course. The course will have successive schedules and follow each other. You would continue into the next course session until all the required modules are completed. National Institute of Home Inspection didn’t invent this method of enrollment, we just perfected it.
Enrollment Instructions

If you state that you are ready to enroll, we will send you an invoice via email for the cost of tuition (which ever you select).
Once the invoice is paid, we will send you an enrollment agreement. Once the agreement is signed online, the enrollment is completed.
You will then receive log-ins to both our testing website and our field training schedule.
Refunds
After the second week of classes, tuition is not refundable. ALL Credit/Debit card refunds will be minus 3% merchant fees. Refunds are not available on tuition payment plans.
Tuition can be paid for by cash, personal, or certified check, money order and credit cards through PayPal. Make all checks payable to National Institute of Home Inspection.
