The NIHI Live Virtual Classroom is a live course delivered by Zoom. The NJ Department of Education and the HIAC adopted this method of course delivery due to Covid-19 restrictions. It is by far, our most popular course delivery method. We also record each individual session and email them out for home study.
If you select one of the tuition scenarios below, you will be led to out card merchant, Square. you can also add it to a store shopping cart. You can add payment information and pay there.
NIHI offers a robust online education program but it is not compliant for NJ licensing.
The course is 140hrs long over 11 weeks. This is compliant with the NJ licensing requirement.
We have rolling admissions so you can start anytime. There are 11 modules to a course session and each module starts on a Sunday. You can start classes on any Sunday as they run continuous (Excluding Holidays).
InterNACH, while the largest and in many opinions the best Home Inspector Association, does not provide NJ compliant education.
Since NIHI is an InterNachi partner school, we do offer a special discount for members that want to become NJ licensed home inspectors.

You will be emailed an enrollment agreement for esignature. Once the agreement is signed you will receive a .pdf copy of the agreement and enrollment is complete. Within 24hrs. you will receive a Welcome Email that contains further instructions.
The NIHI Home inspection training course only contains the 140hrs and 40hrs that pertain to home inspection licensing. Termites and radon classes are offered through the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. Each discipline has different requirements.
40hrs of field training is a requirement for NJ licensing. The student shadows an inspector on a live inspection and then writes their own report on the findings to send to the school. We start you off right away with access to the field training schedule and you have 8 months to complete all of the training. 40hrs is typically +-12 inspections.

Continuing Admissions (Virtual Classes Only)
Continuing (Rolling) admissions is a policy used by many colleges for years to admit students to their programs. Under rolling admission, candidates are invited to join a course at any time within the course. The course will have successive schedules and follow each other. You would continue into the next course session until all the required modules are completed. National Institute of Home Inspection didn’t invent this method of enrollment, we just perfected it.

Refund Terms
After the second week of classes, tuition is not refundable. ALL Credit/Debit card refunds will be minus 3% merchant fees.
If a student is removed from the program, that student will be required to re-register for courses again in order to continue. No credit is given for prior registration.
Tuition can be paid for by cash, personal, or certified check, money order and credit cards. Make all checks payable to National Institute of Home Inspection.
